Chlorella is a single-celled, fresh-water algae with the highest known concentration of chlorophyll of any living thing. Our organic chlorella powder has had its cell wall broken and this allows more nutrients to be available.

SUGGESTED USE:
We recommend that you take one heaped teaspoon (3.5 grams) mixed with water, once or twice a day. It should ideally be taken 30 minutes before meals.

Is this product (Organic Chlorella Powder), been 'cracked' or 'split'? That is, has it undergone a process whereby it has been the individual cell walls have been cracked or split open without damaging the nutrients inside?

Rainforest Foods Chlorella is broken cell wall chlorella and has had its cell walls broken/split to allow easier access to the nutrients contained within them. While the tough fibrous cellulose cell wall is important for detoxification (it binds to the toxins), it does prevent some of the nutrients within the cell being available for absorption. Our chlorella has had the cell wall broken using a mechanical treatment that does not using damaging heat i.e. that maintains the integrity of the nutrients.
