Maca is a root plant grown in the Peruvian Andes between 11,000 and 14,000 feet above sea level. It has historically been used to enhance strength, stamina and libido, and legend has it that Incan warriors consumed it prior to battle to increase their fighting spirit.  Maca is regarded as an adaptogen, something that helps the body balance endocrine hormones and the immune system. It does not target specific symptoms but instead has a normalizing effect on the body, helping it deal with adverse physical, chemical or biological stressors.

Rainforest Foods Maca is gold in colour and is grown in Peru at an altitude of over 4000m.

Rainforest Foods Maca has been certified organic by the Soil Association (GB organic certification 5).

INGREDIENTS
Certified organic maca (lepidium meyeni) with no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives.

SUGGESTED USE
Maca has no set dosage. However, most people tend to take 1-3 grams per day, mixed with water or juice. It should ideally be taken between meals. The optimal dosage will vary from individual to individual and you should experiment with the dosage that works best for you.
